An independent, non-aligned Finnish non-governmental organisation dedicated to peace and intercultural dialogue.
Mission & Independence (§ 2)
Makan Ry was founded on 22 September 2026 to address pressing challenges of peacebuilding and civilian protection.
In accordance with Section 2 of our official rules, the association is independent, non-profit, humanitarian, and non-governmental. It maintains absolute non-alignment with any political party, ideology, or religious creed. Our commitment is rooted in international law, empirical inquiry, and the protection of civilian life.

Governance & Rules
Our operations are strictly governed by the Finnish Associations Act (503/1989), ethical transparency, and statutory accountability. The supreme decision-making body is the General Assembly of members, with executive leadership overseen by the elected Board.
